Our Story
ARYZTA came into being in 2007 when the Swiss bakery Hiestand merged with the Irish food company IAWS. However, as a company that has grown both organically and through aquisition, our origins have many strands.
At the heart of our business is a passion for excellence and making really great food. ARYZTA is derived from the latin word ‘Arista’ which means the tip of a single ear of wheat.
Today our story starts every day using the finest ingredients – along with bakers and chefs whose top priorities are great taste, consistency, and quality. Expertise in the bakery world is one of our core principles and underpins our growth strategy.
